Halloween Update

Halloween was great this year. Rylee went to Liz's party dressed as her alter ego Winston and won first place to best costume. This is a face shot of Winston. Keep looking and you will see full Winston. While Winston was out and about he meet a great girl named Katie... Maybe its love...

Halloween was great as usual we ate Chili at my moms and handed out candy. Just like other years Rick did give me a lecture about only giving out one piece of candy.

September 27th -October 4th

Last week was crazy. Chris was working in Tennessee for the week, so Rylee and I had the house to ourselves. I worked and Rylee did the school thing. Plus Rylee had fall break on Thursday and Friday. The first snow of the season fell on Wednesday. The temp dropped about 20 degrees. Rylee went to the haunted corn maze on Friday with her friends and we spent a quiet night at home on Saturday with Chris. To end the week we had a Humphrey's family reunion on Sunday. Chris is off for another week in Tennessee, I start my photography class tomorrow and Rylee does what she always does SOCCER. Talk to you all next week.

First Day of School

Rylee started school on August 17th. Every year we have taken a picture in front of our tree. This year we were walking out of the house to go to school and Rylee said "aren't we taking first day of school pictures." So we did and here are her first day of 8th grade pics. She has gotten so big. Plus she make me laugh every day. So this is for Rylee isn't she beautiful....

Is summer over already?

Hello August...
I thought it was just June and Rylee was getting out of school for the summer. Well next week is back to school night already. Rylee starts school on the 17th of August. Where did the summer go? We had a fun summer so far alot of SOCCER...

Catch up

Well we have been so busy that I forget to write. June has flown by so fast that I can't believe that its July. So far in July we have done the SLC Barcrawl (it was alot of fun). The fourth of July came and went, and just think we didn't have any rain. For the Kiernans we went up to the Cache Valley Cruise and watched the old cars. We did the fire work thing and watched the Ogden City Fireworks. They are getting better every year. So here is the low down for the rest of the month. Next week we are on our way to Steamboat Colorado for SOCCER... yep SOCCER. Then we are home for a we and we are off again to Moscow Idaho for.... Tuesdaye

What a great day. Sitting waiting for Rylee and Chris to come home to have dinner. Drinking a glass of wine (yummy)..

Rylee has a busy day. Yesterday was striker training. Today was ODP training, Striker training, an Outlaw game and at mid-night Transformers. What a busy day for a young girl. Summer has finally here I haven't seen rain since Sunday.

Getting Ready for MONDAY

So its Sunday and beautiful outside. But Sunday always means that tomorrow is Monday. Last week was a short week we had Monday off for Memorial Day (love short weeks). Work hasn't hired a new Director yet so I'm still filling in (yuck). When you have so much to do and don't know what to do you get very frustrated (then the computers aren't working JOY!).

I am going to go to work tomorrow with a good attitude and have a good we. Next week is a short week for me to... But here is the kicker. The new director is starting on Monday the 8th and I am only working the 8th and 9th.

Starting Memorial Day I turned over a new leaf and started to wear sun screen (kinda worried about skin cancer).

This last week was crazy. It was Rylee's last week at school. She won 2 awards. Plus Chris and I had to work late every night. Rylee also started practicing with Spitfire again.

Hoping the next week is better than the last one!!

Fun on a Saturday

Fun on a Saturday is what we are calling today. Chris went to work and had a busy day. Jack went to the cleaners and had a hair cut. Rylee and I went to Costco and did a little shopping. Then it got a little crazy.

Out of the blue we decided to go to Park City. We drove to Audi (yep we own an Audi). We got to Park City and decided to go down the Alpine Slide. Chris and I realized that we haven't been here in a while due to the fact that Rylee has never be on the Alpine Slide. After a very slow chair lift ride up the mountain we went on a fast ride down the canyon (I held on the brake about 40% of the time).

Then off shopping. We all got a couple of fun things up at the outlets.

What will tomorrow bring I don't know. Hope to have you check back in and see....

What's Up

It's been awhile since my last post so I thought I would take a minute and let you all know whats been going on with the Kiernan's. Rylee just finished the Spring season of Soccer with Rush they did pretty good. Chris is still working at Kelloggs as the Maintaince Supervisor. Amy is still working at Vista College right now I am Interim Campus Director. We have been very busy school is almost out for Rylee that means she will be moving up to 8th Grade next year. In the next couple of months we will be going to some soccer tournaments. First is in June the Utah Summer games in Cedar City (its always fun). July we will be going to Steamboat Colorado and in July Moscow Idaho, yep Idaho. I'm wondering about that one....

I will be starting Weber State in the Fall. Kinda freaking out about that.

Rylee turned 12 on Thursday. Where does the time go?

Week In Review

Hi guys how was your week? Busy week for our family. Chris had to give a big presentation at work and he did awesome. We had a new student orientation at our school and we are starting 24 new students. I start teaching again tomorrow. I am very happy about that. I haven't taught in 18 weeks that's a long time. Rylee had soccer soccer and more soccer. Saturday she had 2 soccer games outside. It was nice. Chris has been able to drive his hot rod which he likes to do. I still think its freezing outside and he's crazy. We have decided on carpet for our house and we are getting stuff measured Friday. Hope every one has an awesome week and I will talk at you later.

What a day

I have a day off. Plus we have a fun weekend planned. Tomorrow we leave for St George. Rylee is playing some soccer games down there so I will have to keep you all informed.

MOM Stuff

So Rylee came home well texted me on the phone and told me a girl at school died. When I got more information I found out this 8th grader killed herself. How do you instill to any 11 year old that suicide is not the answer. We talked openly about it and I tried to explain that the girl not only hurt herself but also her family and every one around her. I wonder yes I know here we go again about Amy and here wondering but my god. Rylee is only 11 and she has been through so much this year. She was called a slut then 2 weeks ago a kid wrote a letter explaining how he was going to kill her and other kids in the school and now this. Do you home school? Rylee goes to a Charter School and yes its supposed to be better but is it really?

Week in Review

This last week was crazy!! It started Sunday night with Rylee getting a Bloody nose that took 30 minutes to stop. Then Monday our usual off to Soccer. We had a game in Salt Lake City where Rylee's nose started to bleed. We ended up at the ER until midnight. That brings up to Tuesday, Rylee had to miss school because of her nose and that wasn't the best on the grades. Wednesday takes me to Salt Lake for work. YUCK!!! Thursday Rylee got her second set of braces on, how much fun that was. Friday work again. Saturday is the day of Soccer Rylee got to play after missing practice all week because of the bloody nose. Her team won the game 8-1 and Rylee finally headed the ball. Big deal at our house. We can't wait for the first weekend in March we are going to St George for what else but soccer, but it is a little vacation for the family. Hope every one has a great week ahead talk to you soon.

Bloody Nose

Rylee had a horrible bloody nose for the last 2 day (Sunday and Monday). Monday night it didn't slow down so we decided it was time to go the doctor. By the time we decided we ended up in the ER. If any one has been to the ER then you know how happy we were about that. After waiting in the ER for 4 almost 5 hours you get the above pictures. Needless to say Rylee will start drinking water and stay hydrated, she doesn't want anymore of these picture floating around.

HOT ROD

So I know that we talk about Chris's hot rod so I wanted to give you a picture. This is Chris's favorite picture. Chris took his car to the Salt Flats last year by the time he got home the car had salt all over it. It looked like some kind of growth when you looked at it close.

Crock Pot

Ok so I never really had a Crock Pot before and now I do. I was just wondering if any one in Blog land had any good recipes that uses the Crock Pot. I have tried 2 the first one was great the second one not that much.

I just wanted to let everyone know that book club is tomorrow. This month we read Toxin by Robin Cook. I will let you all know what book will be next month.

Time

Who needs more time in the day? I do I do. I know I am whining again but 24 hours just isn't enough time in a day to get things done. First you have your family then you have your job then you have your house then whats left.... So my question to you is and yes Stacy I want your advice because you have 1 year old twins what do you give up on? Right now its my house and that takes me back to my earlier blog I think I need some one to come in and clean my house.

Rylee

I don't know if you can see the picture very well but Rylee's soccer team is split in half and they played each other on Saturday. Rylee was taking a free kick and Ashley was standing in front of her and got hit by the ball and it left a ball mark on her back. So this is a picture of Ashley's back.

Yuck

Do you ever feel like you need to go back to bed and start the week not just the day over? This is the week for me. Work has sucked all week we haven't finished painting the front room so house is a pig sty. But I went to yoga last night and I did feel a little better to day. Ok I think I'm done with the pitty party.

Forgot

Bob (my boss) offered me the Director of Education position at work. Now I just have to figure if we can handle it as a family.

Week In Review for 1/11/09-1/18/09

I know all of you are excited to here about the week of Chris, Amy and Rylee. Monday Chris had off so he went and hung out with Jim. I worked from 1-10 yea it was alittle different but it was ok. Tuesday starts our day of driving to Woodscross for soccer. Wednesday I started yoga, it is so much fun, well it makes me laugh so I guess that's fun. I went to yoga with Karen and there was 26 people and I bet there will be 16 come next week. Thursday back to Woodscross for practice this time. Friday Chris and I had a date we went to Rickenbacher its by the Ogden Airport. Dinner was great we had to make reservation for 7:30 we didn't get out of there until 9:00 and 100.00 later. It was one of those fancy pancy restaurant with cloth napkin and such. Chris hates them but it fun to act grown up sometimes. Saturday brings us to Woodscross again for a soccer game this time. Rylee scored 2 goals and made one assist she was on it. After soccer we went to Build-a-bear for Jazmyns birthday. We had so much fun. Saturday night I our helped Chris paint the house. Maybe before we die we will get carpet. Sunday was grocerie shopping and Jazmyns birthday party at my moms house. So for now have a great couple of hours before it starts again.

Birthday Fun

Tomorrow is my nieces birthday she will be 3. So today we are taking her to Build a Bear for her birthday. She is so excited I talked to her on Thursday and she said "I get to go with you in 2 days" so she is counting down. I will have to add pictures later. Have a great week end.

YOGA

I start yoga again tonight with Karen. It's not the yoga you would think when you hear yoga. We chant, meditate and do the breath of fire. Tonight is the first night so I don't know what is in store for us tonight but I will keep you posted. Here is something to keep you coming for more. Last class Karen and I named one of our poses Peeing in the forest.

Week In Review for 1/4/09-1/10/09

This week went by so fast I don't know what to say. Monday Rylee was out of school still from x-mas break. Chris and I went to work. Tuesday Rylee started training again with Rob in Woods Cross and Jack went to the Vet. His tail wouldn't lift up and he had to get some shots. :-(
Wednesday Chris gets off early to volunteer at Rylee's school they do Soccer Club but it was canceled once again. Thursday we had soccer practice in Woods Cross for Rylee and I went shopping at Kholes and found a cute outfit plus shoes for under $100.00. Oh I can't forget that Chris decided to paint the house so we...he started that. He started in the bathroom and will move to the hall and finish in the front room. Yes it does stink in my house right now. Maybe that is why in my last post I was talking about a cleaning lady. Friday was my birthday yep I am now officially 33 years young as I like to call it. Again Chris surprised me with gorgeous flowers at work. We went out to eat at the Timbermine yummy! Saturday was our usual we went to Rylee's soccer game and they played a team younger then them and won by a gazillion, I stopped counting at 10 and that was in the first half of the game. Chris finished the painting in the bathroom. The common Sunday is here Rylee and Chris are Snowboarding and I am left home for some peace and quiet. I hope every one has a great week ahead of them. (It's snowing again).

Wondering

So its the night before my birthday and I am wondering what another year will bring. 2008 was good but when does it get great? Don't get me wrong I love my life and everything that goes with it, but do you ever wonder? My first wonder is how would it be to get different job? Do I want to or am I just full of it? What about a hobby? What about hiring a cleaning person? wondering what do you think....

SNOW

Ok in the last 2 days we have had about 12 inches of snow. Who really likes the snow in the valley. Snow is good in the mountains but I am so over the snow. Yesterday it took me 2 yes 2 hours to get home from work (usually a 20 min drive). I will add some snow pictures when I can take my camera out with out it getting snowed on.

Week In Review for 12/29/08-01/03/09

Well here we go the week in review. Monday I went to work first day back since the 23rd of December. Rylee went to the movies with Ramona, Rachel and Rebecca, she saw Valkyrie and she really liked it. Tuesday I went and got my hair done. Wednesday was New Years Eve Rylee played in a friendly aka scrimmage for charity. We went and played a game at Ramona's and Chris and I went to bed before midnight yes before midnight. New Years day was a day of rest and relaxing at home. Friday Rylee and I went shopping and Rylee got her hair colored again. I also finely ordered my necklace. The necklace will be done on the 12th. Great gift for my birthday. Saturday Rylee had an indoor soccer game in Woods Cross they played the Fire Birds and won 8-1 it was a really good game. In short that is the Kiernan's week in review.

New Year

Well I decided it was about time to write something for the New Year. 2008 went out with a fizzle and in came 2009. Things to look forward to in 2009. I am going to start working part-time again. I will be turning 33 this year, but you are only as old as you act and I act like a kid so I'm going with 25... Chris is still working as a supervisor at Kellogg, I'm not sure if he likes it or not we'll have to see. Rylee is hating 7th grade because of the "drama" what ever that mean to an 11 year old. Then there is SOCCER SOCCER and more SOCCER it is official Rylee has made the Premier team with Rush, she is so excited.
